[摘要]

促進學習者自主學習是近二十年來外語教學界的熱門話題。中國教育部在2000年頒發的《基礎教育階段新英語課程標準》中把“培養高中生自主學習英語的能力”作為英語學習教學的主要目標。傳統的以教師為中心的英語課堂教學已經無法滿足學生的要求,無法實現以人為本,促進學生綜合語言運用能力的提高的總體目標。因此,培養高中生自主學習的重要性和必要性就顯得尤為突出。本文詳述了自主學習的定義、理論和影響高中生自主學習能力的因素,分析了學生在英語學習中的問題,提出了自主學習的訓練策略,以及這些策略在教學中的應用。

Abstract:

It is stipulated in New Criteria for English Curriculum that one of the goals of English course is to make students form effective learning strategies. [1] However, the traditional teaching model could not meet the need of students, could not realize the goal of promoting students’ comprehensive language abilities. The latest reform of curriculum criteria put emphasis on sustainable development of learners, which includes how to develop the students’ strategies to form autonomy learning. Therefore, it is significant to emphasize study on language learning strategies and strategy training. In this paper, the author discusses the basic definition and theories of self- learning and the related factors which can affect the senior students’ autonomy learning ability. Furthermore, this paper provides some learner-centered practices of English teaching in senior school, and explains the methods to promote autonomy learning, so that teachers would help learners develop their autonomy learning strategies, and then apply those methods to later teaching.

1. Introduction
With the new senior school English teaching material using, and the implementation of New Standard of English Courses,and the change of examination,the senior school English class teaching is not only to develop students' knowledge of the language and language skills, and has the responsibilities and obligations to cultivate the students' attitudes about autonomy-learning ability. [2] However, the traditional teaching methods,which lay too much emphasis on the input of information,cannot meet the development of education .The conflict between the limited studying time in school and the unlimited increase of new information has pushed people to realize the importance of learning efficiency and the ability to learn by oneself. Teachers should not only introduce the knowledge but also guide the students to develop the efficient learning strategies and the ability to learn by themselves. It is the needs of the students to get further education.
Therefore,only when learners are able to know their situation, their learning strengths,? weaknesses and avail themselves of each learning opportunity rather than simply react to various stimuli from the teacher can they be confident enough to involve into their learning and eventually become successful language learners. The situation calls for the urgent need of cultivating learners' initiatives and leaner autonomy in classroom.
